How the calculators work
The tools use local token estimation and public model pricing data. They do not call OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, xAI, or any other provider on your behalf. Results are estimates for planning and should be checked against official provider pricing before purchasing or launching.
Editorial and pricing standards
We aim to explain AI token costs and AI API costs in plain language, separate input and output token pricing, and highlight hidden costs such as retries, embeddings, vector databases, observability, and long-context usage.
